I finished knitting/crocheting Blake a winter blanket for his crib. I used the left over wool yarn a friend gave me. It wasn't wide enough so I crocheted on the white panel using some off-white wool I had purchased for another project I ended up not starting. It looks pieced together, but who cares in a moment like this! The wool washed up nicely and over time I hope the blanket gets a bit softer. Knitting with two strands of worsted weight wool was quick and easy and I am glad I got to get back to crocheting. I think I will crochet blankets from now on because it is so much faster and if you pick the right color scheme it can look nice too.
