Bunny

We packed up the car and headed to the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos to see the Easter Bunny. I will let the videos speak for themselves.

Spring

Blake's preschool class held a Spring Party where they hunted for Easter eggs and gave each other spring goodies. Parents and siblings were invited, but only a handful of mommies showed up. Blake was so proud to have his little brother in his class and Reade was constantly intrigued by the surrounding fun.

Baby Bon Bon

I just ordered this book for inspiration:


My grandmother was a huge fan of See's Candies and we spent many hours in those black and white shops picking out just the right sweet treat in that moment. Why not name my baby girl a sweet name based on a company I truly love (my ignorance was bliss until I found out it is now owned by Warren Buffet). Anyways, the history is rich and I hope to pull something from that heritage.

Some ideas:
1) Bordeaux and call her "doe" like a baby deer
2) Divinity (a See's candy plus the kind of candy my mom and grandmother made at Christmas time)
3) Lolly (I rarely got the lollipops since the goal was chocolate, but the name is cute)

All got vetoed by Andrew after I told him about my blog post-to-be. I love how he said, "We can't name her Bordeaux because if she is fat, they will call her "dough girl."

Haircut

Cutting baby hair is so hard for me, but I think I am finally over the hump with Reade's hair. It was hard for me to buzz off that long, wispy hair in the back. Thank goodness I will have a new head of baby hair to fuss over so I can let Reade grow up and move on to the next level. This was the first time he sat by himself for the haircut. Note to self: remember to charge the buzzer before the haircuts so you don't have to wait a couple minutes between buzzes.

The key to Reade's hair is to leave the front long and just cut the back and sides. He now looks totally blonde like Blake. Thank goodness it still looks a little red in the bathtub:

Hitched

Our wonderful weekend away from our kids has come to an end. Blake and Reade had a great time hanging with their grandparents from Friday night until this afternoon. It felt so good to romp around SF with Andrew and act like a married couple instead of parents. We were lucky guests of Andrew's co-worker and got to share his wedding ceremony and reception at the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. It was a great time.

My 4 Year Old

Yesterday, Blake turned four years old. My blogging has been slow because my sister, mother, and father have been treating Blake to some great, overnight stays.

Plant

Does anyone know what plant this is? We saw it on our walk to the park and have never seen anything like it. The buds look like roses, but the plant looks like maple leaves:
